Soho House, the exclusive club currently in New York and London, will be unveiling a 74-unit Miami property in 2008.
This Miami location has been named Soho Beach House and will be a condo-hotel style development. Soho Beach House is so exclusive that only current members from the New York and London locations will be able to buy units, although non-members are able to book rooms for standard hotel stays.
“[Miami] says music, it says fashion,” says North America Soho House general manager Mark Somen. “It’s a really fun place to be.”
Soho House was featured prominently in the television program Sex and the City (Episode 84) as the exclusive Manhattan rooftop pool club that even Samantha Jones was escorted out of.
The New York City summer heat is driving Samantha crazy, but equally frustrating is her inability to be granted access to SoHo, an exclusive club that features a fabulous swimming pool. Luckily for Sam, she finds a misplaced ID card that grants her access to the club, so long as she doesn’t mind answering to the name Annabelle Bronstein. Unfortunately, a SoHo employee blows the lid off the deception, causing Samantha to beat a hasty retreat back into the sweltering Manhattan streets.
The condominiums range in size from 400 to 1000 square feet. Selling price will be between $550,000 and $1.9 million while room rates for overnight visitors will be about $500 per night.
